Oklahoma City – Caitlin Hirst of Mid-America Christian and Candela Blanco of Oklahoma City have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Hirst gained her second consecutive weekly award by scoring six points in a 7-0 victory over Texas Wesleyan. Hirst had a pair of goals and two assists in the win as she had two shots, with both of those being on frame. This is the second brace of the year for the senior.

Blanco helped the Stars to a 1-1-0 record last week by having nine total saves in the two matches for a save percentage of .900. In a 1-0 loss to John Brown, Blanco had eight saves while adding another save in a 3-0 win over Central Christian to help the Stars secure the No. 3 seed in the upcoming tournament.
