Oklahoma City – Pascoal Manuel of Nelson and Alex Neri of Wayland Baptist have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
 
Manuel aided the Lions to a 3-1 win over Science & Arts by scoring a pair of goals on two shots to help Nelson secure the No. 5 seed in the upcoming tournament. Manuel had two shots in the match, with both finding the back of the net from his center back position on the pitch.
 
Other Nominees - Harrison Knight, Oklahoma City, Niklas Thiel, Wayland Baptist, and Joao Victor, Mid-America Christian.              
 
Neri was outstanding between the pipes for the Pioneers in a 1-0 victory over Panhandle State as he finished the evening with seven saves. His performance helped Wayland Baptist gain the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.
