Oklahoma City – Alica Obusekova of Mid-America Christian, Anna Brunner of College of the Ozarks, and Cassidy Hargesheimer of Nelson have earned Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week honors as released by the conference office Monday morning.
Obusekova was named the league’s Attacker of the Week, with Brunner earning Defender of the Week honors while Hargesheimer garnered the Setter of the Week Award.
Obusekova helped the Evangels to a 1-1 record last week with 34 kills over the two matches for an average of 3.78 kills per set. Obusekova had a career-high 19 kills in a 3-2 loss to College of the Ozarks. She also finished the week with a .408 hitting percentage on 76 total attacks with only three errors. Obusekova also added seven digs during the week.

Brunner aided the Bobcats to a 2-1 record last week with 28 total blocks for an average of 2.00 blocks per set over the three matches. Brunner had 11 total blocks with three solo blocks in a 3-2 victory over Mid-America Christian. Brunner also added 23 kills on 44 total attacks during the week.

Hargesheimer paced the Lions to a 2-0 record last week with 55 assists for an average of 6.88 assists per set while adding 15 digs in the pair of matches. She had a team-high 30 helpers in a 3-2 win at Wayland Baptist while adding 25 more assists in a 3-0 sweep at Panhandle State.
