Oklahoma City – Hanna Rubis of Texas Wesleyan, Anna Brunner of College of the Ozarks, and Ytzell Garcia of Science & Arts have earned Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week as released by the conference office Monday morning.
Rubis was named the league’s Attacker of the Week, with Brunner earning Defender of the Week honors while Garcia garnered the Setter of the Week Award.
Rubis aided the Rams to a 2-0 record last week with 17 kills for an average of 2.43 kills per set while having 29 total attacks with two errors for a .517 hitting percentage. Rubis also added seven digs with four total blocks in the pair of victories.

Brunner helped the. Bobcats to a perfect 3-0 record last week with 16 total blocks, including a solo block with 15 block assists in the three matches. Brunner highlighted the week with eight total blocks on a 3-2 victory over Evangel. Brunner also added 19 kills for an average of 1.58 kills per set and a .333 hitting percentage.

Garcia aided the Drovers to a 2-1 record last week by dishing out 57 assists for an average of 6.33 assists per set, while adding four kills and 16 digs in the three matches. Garcia also had four service aces for the week.
