Chan and Clark Earn SAC Digital Scoreboards Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

Oklahoma City – Katalina Chan and Nadia Clark of John Brown have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboard Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for their efforts this past week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
 
Chan took part in the Missouri Southern State Lion Open and claimed a pair of top spots on the podium during the event. The freshman set a new program record mark of 25.64 en route to winning the 200-meter dash and then ran the program’s second fastest time in the 400-meter dash with a mark of 1:00.68. Chan also had a time in the 60-meter dash prelims of 7.99 that is the second fastest time in program history.
 
Other Nominees - Erika Pena, Oklahoma City, Morgan Shelton, Texas Wesleyan, and Chloe Threatt, Langston.
 
Clark participated in the Missouri Southern State Lion Open in the throwing events against competitors from NCAA Division II and other NAIA schools. Clark earned fourth place in the shot put with a toss of 11.88m and then garnered an 18th-place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 11.23m.
