Van Rensum and Hernandez Earn SAC Netting Pros/STADIONIC Baseball Player of the Week Awards

Oklahoma City – Aiden Van Rensum of Oklahoma City and Fabian Hernandez of Mid-America Christian have been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Netting Pros/STADIONIC Baseball Player of the Week awards for their efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Van Rensum aided the Stars to a 4-0 record last week by going 8-of-19 at the plate for a batting average of .421. Van Rensum had four extra base hits, two those being home runs, while driving in 12 runs and scoring six times himself. Van Rensum completed the week with a .842 slugging percentage.
 
Other Nominees - Gary Ford, Central Christian, Adonis Bernal, Wayland Baptist, David Garcia, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Jorge Herrera, Texas Wesleyan, Cole Krepcik, Mid-America Christian, and Connor Martin, Science and Arts.
 
Hernandez tossed his second career complete game shutout in a 7-0 victory over College of the Ozarks. Hernandez allowed four hits in the outing while striking out 10 batters. Hernandez ended the game with a .86 WHIP and 12.86 strikeouts per nine innings.
