Oklahoma City – Hadley Gibson of Oklahoma City and Gia Reynosa of Mid-America Christian have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Netting Pros/STADIONIC Softball Players of the Week for their efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Gibson helped the Stars to a 6-0 conference record last week by going 14-of -23 at the plate for a .609 batting average. Gibson had seven extra base hits with five doubles and her first two collegiate homeruns while driving in 10 runs and scoring 15 runs herself. Gibson had a 1.087 slugging percentage and a .679 on-base percentage last week and added five stolen bases to her stat line.

Reynosa was a key in the Evangels 4-0 conference record last week as she earned a win and a save in the circle for Mid-America Christian. Reynosa earned a complete game victory in a 4-0 victory over Central Christian by allowing only one hit and having seven strikeouts. In the Evangels 4-2 win over Central Christian, Reynosa garnered the save by going two innings and surrendering one hit and having four strikeouts. Reynosa finished the week with a .44 WHIP.
