Silvis, Ill. – After being the only team to finish under par in the second round, Oklahoma City has surged into the top spot of the team chase at the 2026 NAIA Men’s Golf Championship, being held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The Stars will be joined by first-round leader Science & Arts and Wayland Baptist in the final two rounds of the championship.
The Stars posted a two-under-par score of 278 to grab a six-shot lead over Friends at the midway point of the tournament. Lindsey Wilson is currently in the third spot, 11 strokes back, while the Drovers fell to fourth, 15 strokes behind the leaders. Wayland Baptist moved up two spots to eighth, 20 strokes behind Oklahoma City.
Carter Ray of Oklahoma City held on to first place in the individual event by shooting an even-par round of 70, as he enters the third round at two-under-par 138. Ray finished the day with an eagle and two birdies to stay in the lead spot. Teammate Christian Yanovitch moved up 11 spots to tie for second after a round of one-under-par 69, as he is currently even par for the tournament. Science & Arts Jaeden Ellis is still in contention for the individual title as he is starting the third round in a tie for ninth, just five strokes behind the leader.
The top 15 teams and ties, along with the top six individuals and ties not on a top-15 team, made the 36-hole cut and will play the remainder of the tournament on Thursday and Friday.
The third round begins at 8 a.m. CT on Thursday using split tees -- both No. 1 and No. 10 at 8:00 a.m.
