Oklahoma City – After earning part of the three-way tie for the Sooner Athletic Conference Football Championship Saturday afternoon, Louisiana Christian has earned a spot in the 2023 NAIA Football Championship series as announced by the NAIA National Office Sunday evening.
 
The Wildcats will travel to Baldwin City, Kan., on Saturday, Nov. 18, to take on Baker University which received the automatic berth out of the Heart of America South. The Wildcats will carry an overall record of 91- in the contest against Louisiana Christian. The Wildcats from Louisiana finished the season with an overall mark of 8-2 and will be making their first-ever appearance in the NAIA Post-Season Tournament. Game time will be announced Monday morning.
 
The winner of the game will wait to see who they will match up with in the second round. Those matchups will be announced later in the day on Nov. 18^th.
