Oklahoma City and Texas Wesleyan Start Play in the 2025 NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament

Oklahoma City – Oklahoma City and Texas Wesleyan begin their quest for an NAIA Red Banner today as the 2025 NAIA Women’s Golf National Tournament tees off at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The Stars are coming off winning their fourth consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference Championship a few weeks ago and will be led by four-time SAC medalist Maddi Kamas. Joining Kamas in hopes of winning their ninth national championship will be Logan Allen and Paige Wood.

The Rams placed second in the conference tournament and will be led by SAC Golfer of the Year Makena Junkin. Raileigh Davidson and Salome Arango Marin will also be a big part of the Texas Wesleyan efforts, as they look to win their first Women’s Golf Red Banner.

Texas Wesleyan will start the tournament by teeing off on the first hole, beginning at 8:20 a.m., as they will play their first round with Keiser and Truett McConnell.

Oklahoma City will start their tournament on the 10th tee beginning at 8:40 a.m., as they will play with William Carey and Indiana Wesleyan.

SAC Correspondent Paige Wood had an opportunity to sit down with Kamas last week to talk about the senior’s four medalist honors in the conference and the Stars’ preparation for the national tournament. Click HERE to view this interview.
