Oklahoma City – Thantup Saengvut of Panhandle State has been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Golfers of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning. 
 
Saengvut took part in the Central Plains Invite at Sand Creek Golf Course and fired rounds of 70-71-71- for a four-under-par score of 212 to place third in the individual event. His opening round score of 70 was a career-low round that would propel him to his best-ever personal finish in a collegiate event. Saengyut finished the 54-hole event with 10 birdies, four bogies, and a double bogie to finish six strokes behind the eventual winner.
